- Inspection of wheels / discs before and after use
- Changing grinding wheels / discs

The course explained
- Understand all health and safety requirements
- Correct PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Correct equipment and metals to use
- How to get the best results from your choice of metals
- Understanding routine maintenance issues
- Set the equipment up correctly in relation to welding a range of different metal thicknesses.
- Apply specific welding parameters and techniques effectively and correctly to different applications
- Understand the benefits and limitations of the welding process.
- Different types of welds and what they are used for.
- General safety awareness
Course duration
This is a one day course and can be run at your place of work. The choice is yours as to which type of welding/cutting you would like training in.
